This page describes the categories of information Verdate (the marketing site) and the Verdate demo/product collect, and how they are used.

1. Controller / who we are

2. What we collect

Marketing site

  • Contact form submissions: name, work email, firm, role, and message text submitted via the /contact page.
  • Server logs: standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested path) generated by hosting infrastructure.
  • Analytics (GA4): When enabled, we collect analytics via Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

Demo/product

When a trial or account user accesses the Verdate demo/product, we collect:

  • Registration data: name, work email, firm.
  • Session activity: sign-in events, session duration, and case/timeline identifiers accessed during a session, for security and usage-limit enforcement.
  • Interactions with locked/gated features: to understand trial engagement.

We process general business inquiries and server logs under the legal basis of our legitimate interests in operating and securing our business. We process demo requests and trial registrations as steps taken at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.

4. How we use the information

  • To respond to contact/demo-request submissions.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the marketing site and the demo/product.
  • To enforce trial limits and detect misuse of gated features.

5. Cookies & analytics

When enabled, the marketing site uses GA4 cookies to measure site interactions. For visitors accessing the site from the European Economic Area (EEA), GA4 cookies are strictly gated behind an active consent banner and will not load until explicit, opt-in consent is granted.

6. Processors & sharing

We utilize the following sub-processors to operate our site and services: Hostinger (hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Google (GA4 analytics).

For the public demo environment exclusively, we utilize NVIDIA (NIM inference) to facilitate trial AI processing. The Verdate production product runs entirely on firm-controlled infrastructure; NVIDIA is never used as a sub-processor for production client data.

7. International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA to our US-based processors (such as Google or Resend), we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure appropriate legal safeguards are in place.

8. Retention

Contact form submissions and sales inquiries are retained for a period of 24 months unless they convert into an active customer contract. Server logs and analytics data are retained for 14 months.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at hello@verdate.legal.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the categories of data described above.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the marketing site and demo/product evolve. Material changes will update the “Last updated” date above.
